Responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as navigating through products with potential clients.


  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude.

    • Business professional dress code with a well groomed appearance

    • A smile and willingness to help customer through a purchase as well as through issues that will arise.

  • Listening to and analyzing the customers issues, investigating the problems and providing strategic solutions before and after the sale

  • Bid on and solicit project sales

  • Build relationships with key customers:

    • Restaurant visits

    • Holiday gifts

    • Attentive store interactions

    • Discount structures and rebates based on volume

  • Answer questions and help Customer Service employees complete orders

  • Gathers information regarding our competitor’s products, pricing and policies in order to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Familiarizes oneself with all aspects of catalogues and price books by our prefered vendors in order to execute orders accurately and within policy.

  • Complete 3 hours of additional education per month

    • 1-2 Manufacture rep trainings per month

    • Read industry magazines

    • Work with chefs and industry professionals to better understand the equipment uses as well as possible applications

  • Coordinate with the warehouse staff to make sure that customer orders will be delivered on time, and maintain/reduce freight costs.

  • Giving customers up-to-date information on the status of orders yet to be delivered.

  • All discounts must be approved by your Sales Manager.

  • Cold calling, email blasts, customer mining, and advertising will all be necessary avenues in order to grow to the next level therefore all sales people will need extensive knowledge.

  • Be ready for change.  As a small business we are exploding with growth and opportunity which is both good and challenging.  Please stay flexible as many changes may be made to maintain this growth.

  • Answer calls if available from the main line after the 10th ring.  

  • Trial close, learn to close because this position is all about getting return customers that make large orders.
